Ridgepost Capital Q3 2026: Fundraising Up, Revenue Short
TL;DR: Ridgepost Capital (NYSE: RPC) reported third quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $0.25 per share, in line with analysts, and revenue below expectations, according to StockStory . Management put …

One naming warning first. A different company, RPC, Inc., is an oilfield services firm that trades as RES and reported the same quarter. Its numbers are not Ridgepost's.
What did Ridgepost report for Q3 2026?
Earnings matched the Street and revenue fell short. StockStory says the $0.25 per share non-GAAP profit was in line with analysts' consensus estimates.
The company's own explanation is seasonality. CFO Amanda Coussens said fundraising and tax credit activity was more seasonal than usual in the quarter, which StockStory reports as shifting some expected revenue into Q4. Whether Q4 delivers that revenue is the open question, and only the next report settles it.
Where is the money coming from?
Venture capital led the quarter. Private equity was close behind, and private credit came third. On the call, management said the growth in fee-paying assets was driven by $1.3 billion of gross fundraising and deployment, and gave the split by strategy. The table below sets Q3 beside the first nine months, per the call transcript.
| Strategy | Q3 2026 | First nine months of 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Venture capital | $475 million | $2 billion |
| Private equity | $450 million | $1.7 billion |
| Private credit | $385 million | About $700 million |
| Total | $1.3 billion | Nearly $4.5 billion |
Management called the nine-month total a year-to-date record for the firm. Private credit is the smallest of the three lines. For context on how crowded that corner has become, see our look at private credit fundraising fatigue. On the venture side, our breakdown of multi-stage venture fund fundraising shows how capital is being gathered there.
Why does this matter to an individual investor?
A manager's fundraising pace shows where money is being asked to go, and it also shows who is selling to you. When a firm says it was in the market for more than 15 funds at once, an accredited investor with a few hundred thousand dollars to place is likely to hear from one of them. Each of those funds needs buyers.
So read the fee line. The CFO said the company expects its core fee rate to total approximately 103 basis points for the full year. A growing base of fee-paying assets at a steady fee rate is how this kind of manager grows revenue. It is also the amount that sits between you and the underlying return, before any fee the fund or feeder vehicle adds on top. Fee layers are where retail access to private markets tends to disappoint, which is why we compare gross promises against net results in our piece on private equity returns data.
What should you watch next?
Start with whether the revenue pushed out of Q3 shows up in Q4. After that, look at the pipeline. Management named ongoing fundraising for its GP stake strategy Bonaccord, venture strategy TrueBridge, NAV lending strategy Hark Capital, and middle market private equity strategies RCP and Qualitas. It also said it is on track for a $10 billion gross fundraising and deployment target across 2026 and 2027, and for $50 billion in fee-paying assets by year-end 2029.
Those are goals, not results. Nothing in the call guarantees them.
Common mistakes when reading this kind of earnings story
It's easy to read an in-line earnings number as a clean quarter. The revenue shortfall and the timing explanation both belong in the picture, and the timing story is a claim until Q4 numbers back it.
Tickers cause trouble too. Before you quote a figure, check that it belongs to Ridgepost and not to the oilfield company with the similar name.
Growth in fee-paying assets also deserves a second look. The 21% year-over-year figure becomes 11% when the transcript excludes the impact of Stellus, so a good share of the headline growth did not come from new fundraising alone.
