TL;DR: Anthropic could make its initial public offering paperwork public as early as Monday, October 26, Dataconomy reports, citing The Information. A public S-1 registration statement would be the first comprehensive view of the Claude maker's finances for ordinary investors.

The date is a report, not an announcement. Signal//Noise summarizes The Information's story and lists whether Anthropic will file on Monday as still unknown. An earlier target has already come and gone: Yahoo Finance reported on October 21 that the filing could come as soon as Friday, October 23, according to Dataconomy.

What has been reported about Anthropic's numbers?

Revenue is the headline. At an October 14 investor day in San Francisco, Anthropic said third-quarter revenue rose 45% from the previous quarter to $16.8 billion, according to Reuters as summarized by Dataconomy. The Financial Times, as relayed by Yahoo Finance, gives the same $16.8 billion, puts the second quarter at $11.5 billion, and adds that the company is profitable on an adjusted basis.

The loss is the other half. Fortune, working from a draft S-1 the Wall Street Journal obtained, lists an $80 billion net loss for the first half of 2026, up from $13 billion a year earlier. It also says the company plans to spend $750 billion on compute over the coming years and has signed $450 billion of mostly noncancellable cloud deals.

A loss that size sits beside fast revenue growth, so the breakdown of what drove it will tell you more than the total. The earlier analysis Anthropic's Leaked IPO Filing: The Investor Read explains how to read those two numbers together.

Why is the valuation talk changing?

Some investor-day attendees discussed a valuation of about $1.5 trillion, down from roughly $2 trillion expected earlier for a November share sale, per Reuters as summarized by Dataconomy. An earlier Reuters report, cited by Yahoo Finance, had Wall Street expecting a raise of as much as $100 billion at $2 trillion.

Neither figure is a price. NeoTeo states that the offer price and number of shares have not been set, and that the figures near $2 trillion and up to $100 billion remain projections. A range from $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion is a topic of discussion, not a number you can transact at.

What does a public S-1 mean if you hold private exposure?

If you own Anthropic exposure through a secondary platform, an SPV or a feeder fund, the filing is the first document you can hold that vehicle's claims against. Check the share class, the fees stacked on top, and the lockup terms the vehicle says apply. Whatever the filing prints about the company's capitalization is the record, not the sponsor's summary of it. What happens after a public S-1?

Anthropic confidentially submitted a draft S-1 on June 1 and said the offering "will depend on market conditions and other factors," according to Dataconomy. Companies that file confidentially must release their registration materials publicly 15 calendar days before starting a formal investor roadshow, the same report says.

So a public filing starts a clock. It does not end the process. NeoTeo says a possible November 2026 window has been reported after an earlier October expectation, but Anthropic has not announced an IPO date. The week's IPO calendar is nearly empty ahead of it.

What should you look for in the filing?

Start with the income statement and read the loss line by line. Then turn to the commitments. Fortune says $450 billion of the cloud deals are mostly noncancellable, so the filing should show what is contractual and what is still under negotiation. Last, read the risk factors; the risk language in the leaked draft shows what that section can contain. Pay equity as well: Dario Amodei's pay in the draft shows how much the filing discloses about leadership.

    Common mistakes

Treating a leaked or relayed number as final is the easy one. Draft prospectuses can change before the public filing, so wait for the printed figure.

Reading a target valuation as an entry price is another. Projections reported before a roadshow say little about where shares will price or trade.

Then there is buying exposure through a channel you have not verified. Interest in a pre-IPO name attracts intermediaries of uneven quality, and a sponsor's pitch is no substitute for checking who actually holds the shares.

    FAQ

Is it possible to buy Anthropic stock before IPO? Anthropic is not publicly listed. The sources reviewed do not identify any verified channel for buying its shares before the offering. Anyone offering pre-IPO access should be checked for who holds the shares and what fees and lockups apply.

When could Anthropic IPO be? No date is confirmed. NeoTeo says a November 2026 window has been reported after an earlier October expectation, and that Anthropic has not announced a date. A public filing would start the 15-day period before a roadshow.

What is the prediction for Anthropic's IPO price? No price exists yet. NeoTeo says the offer price and share count have not been set. Reported valuations near $2 trillion, and about $1.5 trillion in recent discussion, are projections and talk, not pricing.

Could the filing really be public on Monday? It could. The Information reported Anthropic may file as early as Monday, October 26. Signal//Noise lists the timing as unconfirmed, and an earlier Friday target passed without a filing.
